Peppermint Hot Cocoa (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 cups whole milk.
02 - 1 cup half & half.
03 - 2/3 cup hot cocoa mix.
04 - 2 oz peppermint bark, chopped.
05 - 3 tbsp crushed candy cane.
06 - 1/2 tsp peppermint extract.
07 - Pinch kosher sea salt.
08 - Optional Garnishes: Whipped cream.
09 - Optional Garnishes: Mini marshmallows.
10 - Optional Garnishes: Crushed candy cane.
11 - Optional Garnishes: Chocolate sauce.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat medium saucepan over medium heat.
02 - Add milk, half & half, cocoa, peppermint bark, candy cane, extract, and salt.
03 - Bring to low simmer, whisking often.
04 - Simmer for 10 minutes.
05 - Remove from heat.
06 - Pour into mugs.
07 - Add desired garnishes.

# Notes:

01 - Can use plain cocoa mix with vanilla extract.
02 - Best served fresh and hot.
03 - Adjust sweetness by varying candy amounts.
04 - Makes 5 cups total.
