Chewy Oreo Chocolate Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Base

01 - 2 ¾ cup All-purpose flour
02 - 1 teaspoon Baking soda
03 - 1 teaspoon Salt
04 - 1 cup Unsalted butter, room temperature
05 - 1 cup Brown sugar, packed
06 - ½ cup White granulated sugar
07 - 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
08 - 1 Large egg, room temperature
09 - 1 Egg yolk, room temperature

→ Mix-ins

10 - 1 ½ cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
11 - ½ cup Oreo crumbs (5 cookies blended)
12 - ¾ cup Oreo pieces (6 cookies broken)

# Instructions:

01 - Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Blend 5 Oreos into fine crumbs and measure ½ cup. Pulse 6 Oreos into pieces.
02 - Beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, egg, and egg yolk, mixing until combined.
03 - Slowly add dry ingredients. Mix in chocolate chips, Oreo crumbs, and pieces. Chill for 40 minutes.
04 - Preheat to 350°F. Scoop 3oz dough balls. Place 6 per sheet. Freeze until oven preheats. Refrigerate remaining dough.
05 - Bake 13-15 minutes until edges are golden and middle is slightly underdone. Let rest 4 minutes on pan.
06 - Shape with biscuit cutter if needed. Top with extra Oreo pieces, chips, and crumbs. Cool on rack.
