09 - 2 tablespoons honey
10 - 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
11 - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
12 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
13 - ½ teaspoon chili powder (optional)

→ For the Rice and Creamy Base

14 - 1 cup (180g) uncooked white rice, long-grain or jasmine
15 - 1 ¾ cups (420ml) beef broth, low-sodium
16 - ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
17 - ½ cup (50g) shredded cheddar cheese
18 - 1 tablespoon butter
19 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
20 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
21 - Salt and pepper to taste
22 - Fresh parsley for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the thinly sliced flank steak and toss until coated. Marinate for 15 minutes or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.
02 - Whisk together barbecue sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and chili powder in a small bowl. Set aside.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated steak in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Set aside and cover loosely with foil.
04 - Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, chopped onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and fragrant, scraping browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
05 - Stir uncooked rice into the skillet and toast for 1-2 minutes. Add beef broth, stir, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-18 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
06 - Once rice is cooked, stir in heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as necessary.
07 - Return seared steak to the skillet along with its juices. Add honey BBQ sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes to meld flavors and thicken sauce.
08 - Remove skillet from heat. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the dish and serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Marinate the steak longer for enhanced flavor.
02 - For a spicier kick, increase the chili powder in the sauce.
