09 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
10 - 240 ml whole milk
11 - 150 g sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
12 - 0.5 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
13 - Salt, to taste
14 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Toppings and Extras

15 - 4 burger buns, toasted
16 - Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
17 - Lettuce, optional
18 - Tomato, optional
19 - Pickles, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix gently until just combined. Form into 4 equal patties without overworking the meat.
02 - Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and add olive oil or butter. Cook patties for 3 to 4 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or your preferred level. Transfer to a plate and allow to rest briefly.
03 - In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring until smooth. Bring to a gentle simmer, then add shredded cheddar cheese and Dijon mustard if using. Stir continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper, and keep warm.
04 - Place each cooked patty on a toasted burger bun. Generously spoon the warm cheddar cheese sauce over the patty. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and add any desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato, or pickles. Cap with the top bun and serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or sliced jalapeños when making the cheese sauce.
02 - Crispy bacon can be added as an extra topping for more depth of flavor.
03 - Pair with fries, onion rings, or a green salad for a complete meal.
