Chocolate Walnut Tart Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Bottom layer

01 - 1 cup flour
02 - ¼ cup brown sugar
03 - ½ cup salted butter

→ Top layer

04 - 1½ cups brown sugar
05 - 2 eggs
06 - ¾ cup coarsely chopped walnuts
07 - 2 tsp vanilla extract
08 - pinch salt
09 - ½ tsp baking powder
10 - 1 cup chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F.
02 - Using your hands, rub together the ingredients for the bottom layer until well blended and crumbly. Press evenly into the bottom of an 8 or 9-inch square pan that has been lightly greased and lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes.
03 - Mix together all the ingredients for the top layer until well combined. Pour over the baked base.
04 - Reduce oven temperature to 325°F. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool completely before cutting. For best results, refrigerate before slicing.
