Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onions. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until beef is browned and onions are soft, about 8-10 minutes. Drain any extra grease.

Stir in pickles (if using) and remove from heat. Let mixture cool slightly, then stir in shredded cheese.

Flatten each biscuit dough piece into a 4-inch circle.

Spoon a generous portion of the cheeseburger mixture into the center of each dough round. Fold the edges up and over the filling, pinching to seal and form a ball. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.

Brush each ball with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.

Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Great with ketchup or your favorite burger sauce!
