Baked Apple Fritters (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour.
02 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
03 - 1 tbsp baking powder.
04 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon.
05 - 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg.
06 - 1/2 tsp salt.
07 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed.
08 - 1/2 cup whole milk.
09 - 1 tsp vanilla extract.
10 - 2 large eggs.
11 - 2 cups peeled and diced apples.
12 - 2 tbsp brown sugar.
13 - 1 cup powdered sugar.
14 - 2-3 tbsp milk.
15 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheet with parchment.
02 - Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt.
03 - Cut in cold butter until mixture is crumbly.
04 - Mix milk, vanilla, eggs separately. Add to dry mix.
05 - Fold in apples and brown sugar.
06 - Drop 1/4 cup portions onto sheet.
07 - Bake 15-18 minutes until golden.
08 - Mix glaze ingredients until smooth.
09 - Cool fritters 10 minutes, then glaze.

01 - Use tart apples like Granny Smith.
02 - Cold butter makes flakier texture.
03 - Store up to 2 days in airtight container.
04 - Can freeze unglazed.
