15 - Tortilla chips or saltine crackers

# Instructions:

01 - If starting with raw shrimp, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque. Transfer promptly to ice water to chill, then drain thoroughly.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together tomato juice, fresh lime juice, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, and pepper until well blended.
03 - Add finely diced onion, chopped cilantro, diced cucumber, diced tomatoes, and chopped jalapenos to the sauce. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate mixture for 10 minutes to meld flavors.
04 - Add cooked chilled shrimp to the bowl and gently fold to combine, ensuring all shrimp are coated with the mixture.
05 - Cover the bowl and allow the shrimp cocktail to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to maximize flavor.
06 - Just before serving, gently add diced avocado. Serve cold with tortilla chips or saltine crackers on the side.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure the shrimp and sauce components are thoroughly chilled before serving for optimal texture and flavor.
02 - Dice all vegetables into even pieces to ensure balanced flavor in each bite.
03 - Adjust the level of hot sauce and jalapenos to suit your preferred spice intensity.
04 - Try substituting a portion of lime juice with blood orange juice for a winter variation, or parsley in place of cilantro if desired.
05 - For a heartier texture, increase avocado quantity to create a salsa-style serving.
