Honey Bun Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cake

01 - 1 box yellow cake mix (Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker)
02 - 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened (or substitute 8 oz sour cream)
03 - 4 eggs
04 - 2/3 cup oil

→ Cinnamon Filling

05 - 3/4 cup brown sugar
06 - 2 teaspoons cinnamon

→ Glaze

07 - 2 cups powdered sugar
08 - 2-3 tablespoons milk
09 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
02 - Blend softened cream cheese for 30 seconds with hand mixer. Add eggs and blend until smooth with no lumps.
03 - Add dry cake mix and oil, blending just until no large flour streaks remain. Be careful not to overmix.
04 - Pour half the batter into greased baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar-cinnamon mixture evenly over batter. Top with remaining batter, carefully spreading over filling.
05 - Bake 30-35 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cover with foil after 20 minutes if top browns too quickly.
06 - Cool cake 10 minutes. Poke holes over entire surface with fork or toothpick.
07 - Whisk together glaze ingredients. Pour half over warm cake to seep into holes. Cool 30 minutes, then pour remaining glaze over top.
