Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into chunks
02 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil
03 - 1 medium onion, finely chopped
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
06 - 1 tbsp garam masala
07 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
08 - 1 tsp ground cumin
09 - 1/2 tsp turmeric
10 - 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
11 - 1/2 tsp salt
12 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
13 - 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
14 - 1 cup tomato sauce
15 - 1/2 cup chicken broth
16 - 1 cup heavy cream
17 - 2 tbsp butter
18 - Fresh cilantro for garnish
19 - Cooked basmati rice or naan, for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear on all sides until golden, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
02 - In the same skillet, add chopped onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until soft.
03 - Add garlic, ginger, and all spices. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
04 - Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute. Then add tomato sauce and chicken broth. Mix well.
05 - Return chicken to skillet. Simmer on low for 10–12 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.
06 - Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and butter. Cook 3–5 minutes until fully combined and creamy.
07 - Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or warm naan.
