Melt-In-Your-Mouth Slow Cooker Beef Tips (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 1.2 kg beef chuck roast or stewing beef, cut into 2.5 cm cubes

→ Sauce

02 - 480 ml beef broth
03 - 60 ml soy sauce
04 - 30 ml Worcestershire sauce
05 - 15 g brown sugar
06 - 30 g tomato paste
07 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
08 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
09 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Trim excess fat from beef and cut into uniform 2.5 cm cubes. Season cubes generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
02 - In the slow cooker, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, tomato paste, minced garlic, and smoked paprika until well combined.
03 - Place seasoned beef cubes into the sauce mixture, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated and mostly submerged.
04 - Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until beef is fork-tender and sauce has thickened slightly.
05 - Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. If a thicker sauce is desired, stir in a cornstarch slurry during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

# Notes:

01 - For richer flavor, sear the beef cubes in a hot pan before transferring to the slow cooker.
02 - Additional vegetables such as carrots, mushrooms, or potatoes can be included for a heartier meal.
03 - A bay leaf may be added to the sauce for increased depth of flavor.
04 - Crusty bread is recommended for soaking up the sauce.
