06 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

09 - 1 tsp garlic powder
10 - 1/2 tsp onion powder
11 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ For the Grilled Cheese

12 - 4 slices of bread (sourdough, white, or whole wheat)
13 - 4 slices of cheddar or American cheese
14 - Butter for grilling (2-3 tbsp)

# Instructions:

01 - In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and drain any excess fat. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
02 - Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a clean skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a slice of cheese on top of the bread. Spoon a generous amount of the Sloppy Joe filling over the cheese. Top with another slice of cheese and place the second slice of bread, buttered side up, on top.
03 - Grill the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing down lightly with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted. Carefully flip the sandwich over and grill the other side until golden brown and crispy.
04 - Slice the sandwich in half and serve hot. Enjoy with a side of fries or chips for a hearty meal!
