Shrimp Mac and Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 16 ounces cavatappi pasta.
02 - 6 tablespoons butter, divided.
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
04 - 1 teaspoon onion powder.
05 - 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
06 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt.
07 - ½ teaspoon black pepper.
08 - ¼ cup flour.
09 - 4 cups half and half.
10 - 12 ounces gruyere cheese.
11 - 12 ounces white cheddar.
12 - 2 pounds raw shrimp.
13 - ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs.
14 - 2 tablespoons parmesan.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat to 400°F. Cook pasta al dente. Grate cheeses.
02 - Toast spices in butter, add flour to make roux. Whisk in half and half until thickened.
03 - Stir in half the cheese, then pasta and shrimp. Transfer to baking dish.
04 - Mix breadcrumbs with butter and parmesan. Add remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
05 - Bake 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden. Rest 10 minutes.

02 - Adjust cayenne to taste.
03 - Can split into two dishes - with and without shrimp.
