Creamy Sausage Tortellini Soup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat and Base

01 - 1 pound ground Italian sausage
02 - 1 small yellow onion, diced
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 3 Tablespoons flour

→ Seasonings

05 - 1 teaspoon dried basil
06 - ½ teaspoon oregano
07 - 1 pinch cayenne
08 - 1 teaspoon hot sauce
09 - ½ teaspoon mustard powder
10 - ¼ teaspoon pepper
11 - 1 pinch red pepper flakes

→ Liquids and Add-ins

12 - 1 cup heavy cream
13 - 5 cups chicken broth
14 - 2 cups kale, chopped
15 - 2 cups tortellini (10 oz)

# Instructions:

01 - Cook sausage and onions 8-10 minutes until done. Drain grease. Add garlic, cook 1 minute.
02 - Add flour, cook 1-2 minutes. Add seasonings and stir.
03 - Pour in broth and cream. Bring to boil, reduce to simmer.
04 - Add kale and tortellini, simmer 3-5 minutes until pasta is done. Season with salt to taste.

02 - Spinach can substitute for kale
03 - Cook tortellini separately for leftovers
