Sausage Orzo (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 16 oz Italian sausage.
02 - 1/2 medium onion, chopped.
03 - 3-4 cloves garlic, minced.
04 - 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional).
05 - 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta.
06 - 2 cups chicken broth.
07 - 1 cup heavy cream.
08 - 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
09 - 2 cups fresh baby spinach, packed.
10 - Salt and pepper to taste.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook sausage in pot over medium-high heat 5 minutes.
02 - Add onions, cook 5 more minutes.
03 - Add garlic, pepper flakes, orzo, cook 30 seconds.
04 - Pour in broth and cream.
05 - Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring often.
06 - Remove from heat.
07 - Stir in Parmesan and spinach.
08 - Cover and let rest 3-5 minutes.
09 - Season with salt and pepper.

01 - One-pot meal ready in 30 minutes.
02 - Stir frequently to prevent orzo from sticking.
