→ Cookie Dough

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
02 - ¾ cup white sugar
03 - ¾ cup brown sugar
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
06 - 2½ cups all-purpose flour
07 - 1 tsp baking soda
08 - ½ tsp salt
09 - 1½ cups chocolate chips
10 - 1 cup caramel bits or 12 soft caramels, chopped
11 - Flaky sea salt for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until fully combined.
03 - Gently stir in the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until the mixture forms a smooth dough with no visible dry spots.
04 - Fold the chocolate chips and caramel bits into the dough, distributing evenly.
05 - Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 5 cm (2 inches) apart.
06 - Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. While the cookies are still warm, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top of each one.
07 - Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes. Transfer them to a wire rack to finish cooling, during which time they will set.
