Pizza Stuffed Waffle Snacks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough and Base

01 - 1 can (approx. 400 g) refrigerated pizza dough or crescent dough

→ Filling

02 - 240 ml pizza sauce, divided (60 ml for filling, remainder for serving)
03 - 100 g shredded mozzarella cheese
04 - 60 g mini pepperoni slices or diced pepperoni
05 - 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 0.25 teaspoon Italian seasoning

→ Preparation

07 - Non-stick cooking spray

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a waffle maker and lightly coat both plates with non-stick cooking spray.
02 - On a lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough to approximately 0.5 cm thick. Cut into squares or circles matching the size of the waffle maker compartments.
03 - Place one piece of dough on the waffle maker plate. Spoon around 1 tablespoon pizza sauce onto the centre, add a portion of mozzarella, pepperoni, and a pinch of Italian seasoning. Cover with another piece of dough and gently press the edges to seal.
04 - Close the waffle maker and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the exterior is golden brown and crisp.
05 - Carefully remove the waffles and allow them to cool briefly. Serve warm with remaining pizza sauce for dipping.

# Notes:

01 - Alternative fillings such as sautéed mushrooms, cooked sausage, sliced olives, or diced vegetables may be used.
02 - Brushing cooked waffles with melted butter and garlic powder enhances the flavour.
03 - For a fluffier texture, substitute biscuit dough in place of pizza dough.
