02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 tablespoon butter
04 - 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
05 - 1 small onion, thinly sliced
06 - 1 cup sliced mushrooms
07 - Salt and black pepper, to taste
08 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
09 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder

→ Garlic Bread Base

10 - 1 large loaf French or Italian bread, sliced lengthwise
11 - 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
12 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
13 - 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
14 - 0.5 teaspoon salt

→ Cheeses

15 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella
16 - 1 cup shredded provolone or white cheddar
17 - Grated Parmesan, optional

# Instructions:

01 - In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Stir until incorporated. Evenly spread over the cut sides of the bread.
02 - Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Sauté for 5–6 minutes until softened. Move vegetables to the edge, add steak in small batches. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook 2–3 minutes, mixing everything together once the steak is just browned.
03 - Preheat oven to 200°C. Arrange the buttered bread halves cut side up on a baking sheet. Bake for 5–7 minutes until lightly golden and crisp.
04 - Remove bread from oven. Distribute the steak and vegetable mixture evenly over each bread half. Sprinkle with mozzarella, provolone or white cheddar, and grated Parmesan if desired.
05 - Return assembled breads to oven. Bake 8–10 minutes until cheese is fully melted and bubbling. For extra browning, finish with 1–2 minutes under the broiler, monitoring closely.
06 - Allow to cool slightly, then slice into strips or wedges. Serve immediately while hot.

# Notes:

01 - For easier slicing, freeze steak for 15 minutes before cutting.
02 - A blend of cheeses enhances richness and melt quality.
03 - To maintain a crisp bread base, always toast before adding toppings.
04 - Steak filling can be frozen separately, but assembled bread does not freeze well.
05 - Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer for best texture.
