Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 4 slices thick-cut white, sourdough, or Italian bread
02 - 1 cup (100 g) shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese
03 - 12 to 16 slices pepperoni
04 - 2 tablespoons (30 ml) pizza sauce, plus extra for serving
05 - 2 tablespoons (30 g) butter, softened

→ Optional

06 - Italian seasoning, to taste
07 - Garlic powder, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Lay out the bread slices on a clean surface. Spread pizza sauce on one side of each slice; for a saucier result, coat both sides.
02 - On two slices, layer half the mozzarella, arrange the pepperoni slices evenly, then add the remaining cheese. Top each with the remaining bread slices, sauce side facing inwards.
03 - Spread softened butter on the outer side of each sandwich. Optionally, sprinkle with Italian seasoning or garlic powder to enhance flavor.
04 - Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place sandwiches in the pan. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
05 - Remove sandwiches from the pan, slice in half, and serve immediately with additional warm pizza sauce for dipping.

# Notes:

01 - Experiment with additional fillings like cooked sausage, sautéed mushrooms, or sliced olives for a supreme-style variation.
02 - For a spicy option, incorporate red pepper flakes or hot pepper rings into the filling.
03 - Combining a variety of cheeses such as provolone or cheddar adds depth of flavor.
