Slice tomatoes, salt and drain on paper towels 30 minutes total.

Cut 3-inch circles from pastry, place in muffin pans. Chill.

Mix ¾ cup Gruyere, ¼ cup Monterey Jack, mayo and pepper.

Layer cheese mix, tomatoes, more cheese, basil in shells.

Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes. Add remaining cheese, bake 5 more minutes.
