Magic Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Base

01 - 2 cups gluten-free rolled oats
02 - 1/2 cup walnuts
03 - 1/4 cup coconut flakes
04 - 3 tbsp coconut sugar
05 - 1/2 tsp cinnamon
06 - 1/4 tsp salt
07 - 1 tsp molasses
08 - 1/3 cup canned coconut milk

→ Bar Toppings

09 - 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
10 - 3 tbsp canned coconut milk
11 - 3 tbsp coconut flakes
12 - 3 tbsp rolled oats (optional)
13 - Pinch of salt (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Set oven to 350°F (175°C). In a food processor, combine rolled oats, walnuts, coconut sugar, cinnamon, coconut flakes, and salt. Pulse until an even crumb is achieved. Add canned coconut milk and molasses, then process on high until the mixture begins to stick together.
02 - Transfer the dough mixture into an 8x8-inch baking pan. Use your hands to press the mixture evenly across the surface to form the base layer.
03 - Evenly distribute the chocolate chips over the base layer, followed by the coconut flakes and any other additional toppings. Drizzle the canned coconut milk evenly over the surface.
04 - Place the baking pan into the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the coconut flakes are golden and toasted. Remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely for about 15 minutes before cutting.

# Notes:

01 - Use certified gluten-free oats to ensure the bars remain gluten-free.
02 - Coconut sugar can be substituted with 3 soft medjool dates or a liquid sweetener. For liquid sweeteners, reduce the coconut milk in the base layer to 1/4 cup.
