Cook dates with water over low/medium heat, mashing until smooth and spreadable.

Mix almonds, flour, salt, spices. Add oil and milk to form dough. Chill 20-30 minutes if soft.

Roll dough halves into 28x18cm rectangles. Spread with date filling.

Roll into logs using parchment. Freeze 30 minutes then slice into 1/2-inch pieces.

Top with sesame seeds. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes until golden.
