Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add half of the butter and let it melt completely.

Add garlic, soy sauce, and honey to the melted butter. Swirl the pan occasionally until sauce slightly thickens, about 1-2 minutes. Transfer to a small bowl.

Add half of the shrimp to the pan, cook for about 2 minutes, flip, and cook 1-2 minutes more until pink and curled into a C-shape. Transfer to a plate.

Melt remaining butter and cook the rest of the shrimp until done. Return first batch to the pan and stir in the reserved sauce until well combined.

If desired, squeeze fresh lime juice over the shrimp and garnish with chopped green onions and/or sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
