Italian Stromboli (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 cups all-purpose flour.
02 - 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant dry yeast.
03 - 1 teaspoon sugar.
04 - 2 teaspoons salt.
05 - 1 1/2 cups warm water.
06 - 2 tablespoons olive oil.
07 - 1 cup marinara sauce (optional).
08 - 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella.
09 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan.
10 - 1/2 cup fresh basil or parsley, chopped.
11 - 1/2 pound sliced salami.
12 - 1/2 pound sliced pepperoni.
13 - 1/2 pound sliced ham or prosciutto.
14 - 1 large egg, beaten.
15 - 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan.
16 - Italian seasoning for garnish.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and oil, knead for 5-7 minutes, and let rise for 1 hour.
02 - Heat the oven to 400°F.
03 - Roll the dough into a 10x14 inch rectangle.
04 - Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce if using.
05 - Layer the cheeses, meats, and herbs over the dough.
06 - Roll the dough tightly from the long edge and place seam-side down.
07 - Brush the dough with the beaten egg.
08 - Top with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
09 - Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
10 - Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

01 - Can use store-bought pizza dough to save time.
02 - Make ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
