Hamburger with Green Bean Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
03 - 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
04 - 1/2 cup milk
05 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
06 - 1 cup French fried onions
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
09 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat.
03 - In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
04 - Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
05 - Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
07 - Remove from the oven and sprinkle the French fried onions on top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.

# Notes:

01 - For extra flavor, try using 80/20 ground beef. Fresh green beans (blanched) can be substituted for canned. You can assemble this casserole ahead and refrigerate before baking—add 5-10 minutes to the baking time if chilled.
