Grinch Cake Pops (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 15.25 ounces red velvet cake mix (plus box ingredients).
02 - 4 ounces cream cheese, softened.
03 - 1½ cups powdered sugar.
04 - Pinch of salt.
05 - 24 ounces light green candy melts.
06 - 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening.
07 - Cake pop sticks.
08 - Red candy hearts.

# Instructions:

01 - Make and bake red velvet cake according to box instructions. Cool completely.
02 - Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and salt until smooth.
03 - Crumble cake, mix with frosting gradually until moldable.
04 - Roll into tablespoon-sized balls. Chill 10 minutes in freezer or 30 in fridge.
05 - Melt candy melts with shortening in microwave in 30-second intervals.
06 - Insert sticks dipped in coating into chilled balls. Freeze 10-15 minutes.
07 - Coat each pop in melted candy. Tap to remove excess. Stand upright to set.
08 - Add optional green stripes or red hearts. Let coating harden completely.

02 - Work in batches.
03 - Can decorate with ribbons.
