08 - 2 burger buns
09 - 2 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, provolone, or preferred variety)
10 - Lettuce leaves
11 - Tomato slices
12 - Red onion rings (optional)
13 - Pickles (optional)
14 - Mayonnaise, mustard, or preferred sauce
15 - Butter, for toasting buns

# Instructions:

01 - Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness. In a bowl or zip-top bag, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours under refrigeration.
02 - Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high. Lightly oil grates. Grill marinated chicken for 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 74°C. In the final minute, place cheese slices on chicken to allow melting.
03 - Butter the interior of the burger buns and toast on the grill for 1 to 2 minutes until golden and crisp.
04 - Spread mayonnaise or preferred sauce on both bun halves. Layer lettuce, tomato, grilled chicken with melted cheese, and add onion, pickles, or desired extras. Close sandwich and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - For a spicier result, incorporate jalapeño slices or hot sauce. Substitute buns with lettuce wraps for a low-carb alternative.
