German Peach Kuchen (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - ½ cup cold unsalted butter.
02 - 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour.
03 - ¼ teaspoon baking powder.
04 - ½ teaspoon salt.
05 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar for crust.
06 - 12 peach halves.
07 - 1 cup granulated sugar for filling.
08 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
09 - 2 egg yolks.
10 - 1 cup full fat sour cream.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F/200°C.
02 - Work butter, flour, baking powder, salt and 2 tablespoons sugar until like cornmeal. Press into 8-inch pan.
03 - Arrange peach halves cut side up on crust. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
04 - Bake for 15 minutes.
05 - Mix egg yolks and sour cream, pour over peaches.
06 - Bake 30 minutes more until custard is set.

# Notes:

01 - Fresh peaches work best.
02 - Drain canned or frozen peaches well.
03 - Can be served hot or cold.
