In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour with the milk (or chosen liquid). Stir until a soft dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently pat or roll it out to about ½-inch thickness.

Use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out biscuits. Place them on an ungreased baking sheet, close together for soft sides or spaced apart for crispier edges.
