Easy Microwave Caramels Guide (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1/2 cup brown sugar
04 - 1/2 cup corn syrup
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

# Instructions:

01 - Mix all ingredients in a large microwave-safe bowl. Ensure the bowl has ample space as the mixture will bubble up.
02 - Microwave on high for 6-7 minutes, stirring every 90 seconds.
03 - Pour the mixture into a small buttered dish and allow it to cool completely. Cut into small squares.
04 - If desired, drizzle with chocolate and a sprinkle of sea salt.

# Notes:

01 - This mixture gets VERY hot. Ensure there are no children underfoot when you make this.
02 - This was cooked in a 1000W microwave at 6 minutes and produced a soft yet chewy caramel.
