Cute holiday treat for kids (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Rice Krispie Base

01 - 16 ounces marshmallows (jumbo or mini both work)
02 - 7 cups Rice Krispies cereal
03 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

→ Buttercream Frosting

04 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - 3-4 cups powdered sugar
06 - 1/4 cup milk
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - Green food coloring

→ Decoration

09 - Easter egg candies (such as mini chocolate eggs or jelly beans)

# Instructions:

01 - Grease a cupcake pan with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking. Set aside.
02 - In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine marshmallows and butter. Microwave for about 2 minutes, watching carefully to make sure the marshmallows don't overflow as they puff up.
03 - Stir the melted marshmallows and butter until well blended and smooth. Add the Rice Krispies cereal and mix until everything is evenly coated.
04 - Spoon the Rice Krispie mixture into the greased cupcake pan. Press down in the center with a piece of wax paper to create a nest shape with slightly higher edges.
05 - Allow the Rice Krispie nests to set for at least 30 minutes at room temperature before removing from the pan.
06 - In a large bowl, combine softened butter, milk, vanilla extract, and 2 cups of powdered sugar. Beat for about 5 minutes until smooth and creamy. Add the remaining powdered sugar gradually until you reach your desired consistency.
07 - Add green food coloring to the buttercream and mix well until you achieve the desired shade of green to resemble grass.
08 - Once the Rice Krispie treats have set, pipe the green frosting onto each nest using a grass piping tip if available (or any tip with multiple small openings). Place a few Easter egg candies on top of each frosted nest.

# Notes:

01 - These treats can be made a day ahead and stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
02 - For more vibrant grass, use gel food coloring instead of liquid food coloring.
03 - If you don't have a piping bag, you can use a zip-top bag with the corner snipped off to pipe the frosting.
