01 -
Preheat oven to 220°C.
02 -
Brown ground beef and Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking up any clumps. Drain excess fat thoroughly.
03 -
Press one ready-bake pie crust into a deep-dish pie pan, ensuring the crust is flush against the bottom and sides.
04 -
Evenly distribute half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the base crust.
05 -
Spoon the cooked and drained beef and sausage mixture over the cheese.
06 -
Scatter half the pepperoni slices on top of the meats.
07 -
Pour pizza sauce evenly over the layered meats. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, half the garlic powder, and a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired.
08 -
Top sauce with the remaining mozzarella and all the cheddar cheese. Finish with the remaining pepperoni slices.
09 -
Lay the second pie crust over the filling. Pinch the edges firmly to seal. Brush the surface with melted butter and dust with the remaining garlic powder.
10 -
Bake in the centre of the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
11 -
Allow the pizza pie to cool for several minutes to help layers set, then slice and serve warm.
