01 -
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
02 -
In a large pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef, diced onion, and crushed garlic until the beef browns with no pink spots remaining. Drain any excess fat.
03 -
Add the taco seasoning mix and water to the beef mixture. Simmer while stirring occasionally for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
04 -
Stir the grated cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese into the beef mixture until evenly combined.
05 -
Quickly warm the tortillas to make them pliable and prevent cracking during folding.
06 -
Place about 1/2 cup of the beef and cheese mixture in the center of each tortilla. Fold in the sides and roll tightly to form burrito-style wraps.
07 -
Place the wraps seam-side down on the prepared baking tray. Brush each wrap generously with melted butter or cooking oil.
08 -
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until golden and crispy.
09 -
Serve the wraps hot, garnished with sour cream, salsa, and fresh chopped cilantro.
