Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter and add sliced mushrooms. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.

Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in low-sodium chicken broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Add heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Stir and let simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve hot with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
