# Ingredients:

02 - 1/2 cup butter.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
04 - 1 cup gluten-free 1:1 flour.
05 - 1 teaspoon baking powder.
06 - 4 large eggs, room temperature.
07 - 2 cups milk.
08 - 3 egg yolks.
09 - 1 whole egg.
10 - 1 cup sugar.
11 - 1 teaspoon vanilla paste.
12 - Pinch of salt.
13 - 4 tablespoons cornstarch.
14 - 8 ounces whipped topping.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 425°F and line two 8-inch cake pans with parchment.
02 - Boil water and butter, stir in flour, salt, and baking powder until forms dough.
03 - Mix in eggs one at a time until well combined.
04 - Divide batter between pans, bake 35 minutes until golden.
05 - Heat milk and vanilla, temper with egg mixture, cook until thickened.
06 - Cool pastry cream completely, then fold in whipped topping.
07 - Layer cake and filling, chill 2 hours.
