Cream Horns (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups unsalted butter, softened.
02 - 2 tbsp vegetable shortening.
03 - 1 tbsp sugar.
04 - 2 egg yolks.
05 - 1 cup cold water.
06 - 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour.
07 - 2 cups milk.
08 - 1/3 cup all-purpose flour.
09 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened.
10 - 1 cup vegetable shortening.
11 - 1 tsp vanilla.
12 - 1/2 tsp kosher salt.
13 - 4 cups confectioners' sugar.
14 - Additional confectioners' sugar for garnish.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix butter, shortening, sugar until fluffy.
02 - Add egg yolks.
03 - Mix in flour and water, chill 2+ hours.
04 - Roll dough 1/8-inch thick.
05 - Cut into 1/2 x 10 inch strips.
06 - Wind around molds.
07 - Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
08 - Remove from molds while warm.
09 - Cook milk and flour for filling.
10 - Mix remaining filling ingredients.
11 - Pipe filling into cooled horns, Dust with powdered sugar.

01 - Traditional cookie recipe.
02 - Remove from molds while still warm to prevent crumbling.
03 - Store filled horns in refrigerator.
