Classic Lemon Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Shortbread Crust

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
05 - 2 cups all-purpose flour

→ Lemon Filling

06 - 2 cups granulated sugar
07 - 1/2 cup all purpose flour
08 - 6 large eggs
09 - 2 tablespoons lemon zest
10 - 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
11 - 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
02 - Mix butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Add flour and mix until combined. Spread and pat into prepared baking dish.
03 - Bake for 20 minutes until very lightly browned.
04 - Whisk sugar, flour, eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice together in a large bowl. Pour over warm crust.
05 - Bake 25 minutes, rotating halfway through. Cool, then refrigerate 2 hours to overnight. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Must pour filling over warm crust to prevent flipping
02 - Chill at least 2 hours before cutting
03 - Use warm knife for clean cuts
