Classic Bread Pudding Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - 1 cup of heavy cream or milk
02 - 1/2 cup of sugar
03 - 2 tablespoons of butter
04 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

→ Optional Additions

05 - A pinch of salt
06 - Cinnamon or nutmeg, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Pour the cream or milk into a saucepan and place it over medium heat. Heat until it begins to simmer, but don’t let it boil.
02 - Add the sugar to the simmering milk or cream, stirring constantly until it fully dissolves. Add the butter and continue stirring until it’s completely melted and incorporated.
03 - Take the saucepan off the heat and mix in the vanilla extract. This adds a lovely aroma and enhances the overall flavor.
04 - For extra flavor, add a pinch of salt and your choice of spices like cinnamon or nutmeg. Stir well to combine.
05 - If you prefer a thicker sauce, dissolve a tablespoon of cornstarch in a small amount of cold water and slowly add it to the mixture. Return the saucepan to the heat and cook until the sauce thickens.
06 - Allow the sauce to cool slightly before serving. It can be poured warm over bread pudding or stored in the refrigerator for later use.

# Notes:

01 - Use fresh cream, butter, and vanilla extract for enhanced flavor.
02 - Stir constantly to prevent burning and achieve a smooth texture.
03 - Taste the sauce and adjust the sugar level to your preference.
04 - Experiment with spices or extracts for a unique flavor twist.
