01 -
Preheat oven to 190°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease the surface.
02 -
If ground beef is uncooked, brown 225 g in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in 1 tablespoon taco seasoning and 30 ml water. Simmer until thickened and allow to cool slightly before use.
03 -
Unroll the pizza or crescent dough onto the prepared baking sheet. If using crescent dough, gently pinch seams to seal and create a solid sheet.
04 -
Evenly spread the taco beef over one half of the dough lengthwise. Top with cheddar, mozzarella, and green onions, distributing evenly.
05 -
Fold the other half of the dough over the toppings and firmly press edges to enclose.
06 -
With a sharp knife or pizza cutter, gently score the top surface into 2.5 cm strips, without cutting through. This helps with portioning after baking.
07 -
Combine melted butter, garlic powder, and oregano or additional taco seasoning. Brush mixture evenly over the dough.
08 -
Bake in the center of the oven for 15 to 18 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
09 -
Allow breadsticks to rest for 5 minutes. Cut along the scored lines to form individual breadsticks.
10 -
Serve warm with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream for dipping.
