Cheeseburger Mac Stuffed Tots (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Tater Tot Base

01 - 2 cups frozen tater tots
02 - Cooking spray or oil for greasing

→ Cheeseburger Filling

03 - 1/2 lb ground beef
04 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
06 - Salt and pepper to taste
07 - 1 cup elbow macaroni
08 - 2 tablespoons butter
09 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
10 - 1 cup milk
11 - 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

→ Optional Toppings

12 - 1/4 cup chopped pickles
13 - 2 tablespoons ketchup

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
02 - Arrange tater tots (4-5 per cup) in each muffin cup and bake for 10 minutes. Press down with a spoon to form a cup shape and bake for another 10 minutes until crispy.
03 - Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
04 - Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
05 - In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
06 - Mix the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni and ground beef until well combined.
07 - Spoon the macaroni and beef mixture into each tater tot cup, pressing down lightly.
08 - Bake for another 10 minutes or until heated through and lightly golden on top.
09 - Top with chopped pickles and a drizzle of ketchup before serving, if desired.
