03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 120ml ketchup
05 - 30ml yellow mustard
06 - 15ml Worcestershire sauce
07 - 60ml dill pickles, chopped (optional)
08 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
09 - 650–750g frozen French fries
10 - 200g shredded cheddar cheese, divided

→ Optional Garnishes

11 - Shredded iceberg lettuce
12 - Diced tomatoes
13 - Additional chopped pickles
14 - Green onions, sliced
15 - Ketchup, for drizzling
16 - Mustard, for drizzling

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened. Incorporate ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chopped pickles (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes until well blended and warmed through.
02 - Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly into the base of a 23x33cm baking dish. Sprinkle 100g of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
03 - Distribute frozen French fries evenly over the cheese and beef layers. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, until the fries are golden and crisp.
04 - Remove dish from the oven and top with the remaining 100g of shredded cheddar. Return to oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbling.
05 - Optionally garnish with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, extra pickles, green onions, and a drizzle of ketchup or mustard before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, distribute the French fries in a single, even layer to ensure maximum crispiness.
