Coney Chili Mac Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Casserole

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
03 - 1 cup tomato sauce
04 - 1/2 cup beef broth
05 - 1 tbsp mustard
06 - 1 tbsp chili powder
07 - 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

→ Optional Topping

08 - Crushed crackers
09 - Crispy onions

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
03 - In the skillet with the cooked beef, stir in the cooked elbow macaroni, tomato sauce, beef broth, mustard, and chili powder. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
04 - Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
05 - Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
06 - If desired, sprinkle crushed crackers or crispy onions on top for added crunch before serving.
07 - Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
