Encase each chicken breast with 2 overlapping slices of bacon, securing with toothpicks if necessary.

Arrange bacon-wrapped chicken in the prepared dish. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 75°C and the bacon is golden and crisp.

If desired, top with shredded cheddar cheese for the final 5 minutes of baking; allow cheese to melt and bubble.
