Place the thinly sliced chicken breasts in a single layer in a casserole dish or baking pan.

Using a spoon or brush, coat the top of each chicken breast generously with BBQ sauce, making sure to cover the entire surface.

Distribute the diced pineapple evenly over the BBQ-coated chicken breasts.

Sprinkle the cooked and diced bacon pieces over the chicken and pineapple layer.

Scatter the sliced red onion over the top of the bacon layer.

Top everything with an even layer of shredded mozzarella cheese, covering all the ingredients.

Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C) and no longer pink in the center. If desired, broil for the last 4 minutes to get a golden, bubbly cheese top.

Before serving, garnish the chicken with a small amount of extra diced pineapple, a few slices of red onion, and the diced green onions for added color and flavor.
