# Ingredients:

→ Burger Patties

01 - 400 g ground chuck
02 - 100 g ground beef ham
03 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic
04 - 2 teaspoons ginger paste
05 - 1 tablespoon sambal chili paste
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
08 - 2 tablespoons Kona Coast Island Teriyaki sauce

→ Toppings & Assembly

09 - 4 slices Swiss cheese
10 - 1 medium red onion, sliced into rings
11 - 1 small fresh pineapple, thickly sliced
12 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
13 - 4 Hawaiian sandwich rolls
14 - Additional teriyaki sauce, for basting and serving

# Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, ground beef ham, minced garlic, ginger paste, sambal chili paste, salt, black pepper, and 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce. Gently mix until just combined. Divide mixture and shape into four burger patties, pressing a small indent in the center of each.
02 - Slice red onion into rings. Place onion rings on a preheated grill over medium heat. Cook for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until softened and well caramelized.
03 - Dust pineapple slices with brown sugar on both sides. Grill pineapple over medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and fruit is caramelized.
04 - Place burger patties on a grill preheated to medium-high. Baste each side with additional teriyaki sauce as they cook. Grill for 4–5 minutes per side, flipping once, until desired doneness. Top each patty with a Swiss cheese slice during the last minute, closing the grill lid to ensure the cheese melts thoroughly.
05 - Lightly toast Hawaiian sandwich rolls on the grill until golden and warmed through.
06 - Layer each toasted bun base with a cheesy burger patty, followed by grilled pineapple and caramelized onion. Drizzle with extra teriyaki sauce, cap with the top bun, and serve immediately while hot.

# Notes:

01 - Avoid pressing burgers during grilling to retain juiciness. Ensuring cheese melts fully by closing the grill lid enhances flavor. Toasted buns resist sogginess from toppings. Swap ground beef ham with extra ground chuck, or substitute Swiss with provolone or mozzarella for variation. Homemade teriyaki can be made with soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic. Grilled halloumi can serve as an alternative for a vegetarian option.
