Pour half of the prepared pancake batter into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Distribute cooked sausage evenly over the batter. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and drizzle with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup.

In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper thoroughly. Pour this mixture evenly over the contents in the baking dish.

Pour the remaining pancake batter over the dish, using a spatula to gently spread and cover the filling.

Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center emerges clean.
